Foil-plastic composite pouches are one of the most commonly used aluminum foil pouches. The pouches are made of plastic as the printing and heat sealing layer and aluminum foil as the barrier layer.
Metallic effect is also called aluminum leakage or aluminum explosion. Aluminum leakage is one of the most common processes for foil pouches, which uses of the reflective effect of metallized film or pure foil film, combined with non-white substrate printing to produce colors with a metallic luster, and the effect is very close to that of hot stamping on kraft paper.

The difference between metalized pouches and aluminum foil pouches is that metalized pouches uses metalized film as a barrier layer, while aluminum foil pouches use pure foil film.
The composite strength of metalized film is better than that of aluminum foil, and it is cheaper.
The pouches made of metalized film are flatter than those made of aluminum foil.

Aluminum foil can be laminated with plastic and high temperature resistant film, which is one of the commonly used structures for retort pouches.
Aluminum foil retort pouches have high oxygen and moisture barrier, excellent heat sealing strength, good aroma retention, especially suitable for pet food, corn, dried beans, meat and other food packaging. Aluminum foil retort pouches can be steamed for 40 minutes at 121°C to 135°C, and they are also suitable for vacuum cooking.

Lead time depends on your customization needs. Generally digital printing lead time is about 14 to 21 days and rotogravure printing lead time is about 25-30 days.
